© 2010 Elisha Dasenbrock Hines Veteran’s Hospital Hospice Logo
As the title says this is the logo I worked on with Joe’s mom Margaret. She is the Nurse Practitioner on the hospice unit. She is the best and designed almost the whole piece herself. I was just the person who put it together. She wanted a messier look for the edges so I tried to leave it with a very hand-done look, however, once I finished we both decided we liked it cropped much better.

Elisha: We have received many, many very positive comments on the beautiful logo you painted for our Palliative Care/Hospice program at Hines VA. Our regional Palliative Care coordinator e-mailed, “I have to say, your logo is absolutely wonderful!” The logo is now on the doorway of each Veteran who is living at Hines for hospice care as a reminder that these dying heroes are with us for the last days or weeks of their lives. It will be used on the brochure we are developing, on educational materials, and anything else that represents our Palliative Care/Hospice program. When our new Hospice Unit opens next year, the original painting will be hung in a prominent place to honor our Veterans. Thank you for your beautiful work!! Love, Margaret.
Thank you so much for such a lovely comment Margaret! I’m thrilled that everyone is so pleased with the logo. I really hope that it represents exactly what important and wonderful work your unit does for those men and women. Thank you for letting me be a small part of the Hospice Unit.
