I am now painting abstract.  While this is not a permanent change, painting abstract images allows me to challenge myself and experiment with out a lot of pressure. It also allows me to offer paintings at a greatly lower price because they are smaller, faster to create, and not my typical style.

In other news I opened an Etsy shop! I am very excited about this and I have been working all day and most of last night on it.  With this shop it will be easier to buy on-line so stop by and say hi!

Yea! I love comments on my blog! lol

It does look like a frog. While I was taking the pictures I thought about drawing in an owl w/ pen and ink, but I do believe a frog would make more sense :D

Thanks Margaret! They are so much fun to paint and to share. Who knew I would love abstracts so much. They really give me a sense of refreshment.

  4. Abstract painting is easier to do than painting a subject but the hard part of it is that you need to create an abstract that can send an image to the viewer. It is not only pure mixture of colors.

    Nice paintings.

  5. Thanks for the comment. I use abstract painting as a way to experiment, however, I am moving more towards an emotional expression. I just haven’t shown any recently.
