"In my work there is a connection between all humanity; the struggles, the happiness, the solitude, the process of building and sustaining a life, the little and big things that go into each of us. I am inspired by cultures, personalities, emotions, and individuality because all of the things that make us different, all of the things that make is interesting, make us human and connect us to one another." "I choose to represent people and their relationships with one another and their culture because there are so many different ways to experience life and create explanations for life based on our viewpoint, but fundamentally we are similar. Whether one has grown up on a farm in Illinois, in Europe or in the middle of Asia, we can find something in common. Everyone can relate to my artwork."
